Opposition Parties Dumbstruck By Matchless Development Of Punjab In Last Nine Years: Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy CM

Faridkot: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today made it clear that the 2017 assembly polls would be contested by the SAD-BJP alliance government on the plank of massive development carried out in Punjab during previous 9 years. He also said that the opposition parties are dumbstruck by the matchless development of Punjab and they don’t have any answer to that.

Addressing the workers here in connection with the ‘Paani Bachao-Punjab Bachao’ (Save Water Save Punjab) rally to be held on 8th December in Killi Chahlan (Moga), S. Badal said that the SAD-BJP government has accelerated the pace of progress in the state through several far-reaching measures such as making Punjab surplus in Power sector, Excellent road network, Industrial expansion, and improving the infrastructure in Health, Education besides Social Service sectors. He further said that both the Congress and AAP are bereft of any progressive agenda for Punjab and the people of the state are well aware of the misleading political game being played by both these parties.

Attacking AAP, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the party would cease to exist post assembly polls of 2017 owing to the high handedness of its convenor Arvind Kejriwal who has alienated the Punjabi leaders, and internal fighting due to sale of tickets as alleged by some volunteers. He said that the rebellion mounted by the volunteers in AAP is a clear indicator of kejriwal’s leadership being challenged from within the party. He further said that the people have already tried PPCC President Captain Amarinder Singh and the congress party is struggling for survival in the wake of successive electoral defeats.

Listing the welfare oriented initiatives of the SAD-BJP government, S. Badal said that not only had Punjab become the first power surplus state of the country but it has emerged as a major player on the social service front with Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna (BPSSBY) for weaker sections, small traders and farmers. He said that the industrial transportation would get a big boost with the par excellence 4 and 6 laned road network in the state.

Divulging more, the Deputy Chief Minister said that apart from the urban areas, the Punjab Government has chalked out prestigious projects for development of rural areas which includes providing sewerage, water supply, concretized streets and other basic development oriented works in all more than 12000 villages of state during next 5 years. He said that the people are keeping their faith intact in the welfare centric policies of the SAD-BJP government which would ensure a hattrick chance to the alliance government at the polls.

Re-iterating the resolve of the state government to protect the river waters of Punjab, S. Badal said that only Punjab has the right over its river waters which would be protect at any cost.

On the occasion, MLA Kotkapura Mantar Singh Brar, President Youth Development Board Punjab Parambans Singh Bunty Romana, President Municipal Council Kotkapura Mohan Singh, Chairman Market Committee Jaspal Maur, Chairman Improvement Trust Darshan Singh and others were also present.
