Sheridan students impacted by a five-week college faculty strike can apply to a special fund to help offset some of the costs they incurred.
The Student Strike Relief Fund provides up to $500 for students who experienced financial hardship because of the strike of professors, instructors, counsellors and librarians that interrupted classes.
Students who withdraw from their program aren’t eligible. However, full-time domestic and international students including those registered in joint programs with Brock, the University of Toronto Mississauga and York University — are eligible.
Also eligible are apprentices who are completing their in-school training.
Some of the additional expenses students may be reimbursed for include travel, living expenses (such as food and housing), child care and others.
Applications need to be submitted by April 27.
