Huron University College, an affiliate of Western University in London, Ontario has announced that they will offer $60,000 in scholarships to eligible students affected by the news of  Trump Administration’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

DACA was created by Obama government to prevent the deportation of undocumented immigrant youth, often referred to as Dreamers, who were brought to the United States as children.

While the folks at Huron College may not have a say in the United States’ government’s decision, Dr. Barry Craig, the principal of the school, says they will do what they can to help.

The school says they’re not sure what the Dreamers’ response to the scholarship will look like and they’re still figuring out details surrounding immigration. But they have been working with representatives in Washington to get better clarity and to also advertise the opportunity.
