2,000 infant motion seats recalled by Fisher- Price in Canada due to fire hazard.

Fisher-Price is recalling around 2,000 infant motion seats in Canada due to a fire hazard risk. It warns that the Soothing Motions Seat bounces and sways and also plays sounds but the motor in the seat may overheat and cause a fire.

The recalled seats were sold from November 2016 to October 2017 at various retailers in Canada.

As of Oct. 17, Fisher-Price received two reports of seats overheating in Canada. In the United States, the company received 34 reports of overheating. There have been no reported injuries.

Health Canada urged anyone with the seats to stop using them immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a full refund.

For more information, consumers can contact Mattel at 1-800-432-5437 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET or online.
