A Personal Message From The Premier

On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I want to wish our Indo Canadian community a happy Diwali. As Premier, I am grateful

for the rich heritage and beautiful traditions that Indo Canadians bring to our society.

On this joyful occasion, Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists across Ontario welcome Diwali by decorating shops and homes with lights and rangoli, exchanging gifts, enjoying fireworks displays, and gathering for festive meals with loved ones.

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, signifies the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and happiness over

despair. This festival is a reaffirmation of hope and a celebration of life of itself.

May the joyousness of Diwali strengthen your families, your friendships and your community. I wish you all prosperity and good health.
