A joyful ride turned into a misadventure after a 50 feet swing fell straight to the ground at Dushera ground Phase 8 in Mohali on Sunday with nearly 50 people on board.
Over 16 people have been injured which include children and women were taken to the hospital.

In the video that went viral captured that during the ride, the massive wheel crashed suddenly. Due to the massive impact, the people inside the swing were seen swinging out of their chairs.
According to an official, the organisers of the fair have permission for the event until September 4, however, a board notifying the fair’s extension was placed at the location, which mentioned September 11 as the deadline.
Civil doctor Dr Subhash said that as many as five persons were admitted and “were not in serious condition”.
