AAP leader Jyoti Mann joins Akali Dal

Ludhiana, The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today got a shot in the arm when Jyoti Maan, who unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections on an Aam Aadmi Party ticket from Jalandhar, joined the ruling party here.

Punjab Deputy chief minister and president of the SAD Sukhbir Singh Badal welcomed her on behalf of the party by presenting a ‘Siropa’ (rob of honour) to her.

Addressing media, she accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of trying to come to power in the state by hook or crook and alleged that AAP had forgotten basic objectives on the basis of which the party was formed.
