Every year, on the 26th of July, Indians commemorate their triumph over a neighbouring nation through Kargil Vijay Diwas. This year, however, the occasion is particularly poignant as it marks the 25th anniversary of the historic victory in Operation Vijay. To honour this significant milestone, here is a curated list of Bollywood films that vividly bring to life the heroic events of the 1999 Kargil War.

Must’ve seen LOC: Kargil for the nth time today, and no matter how many times I come back to this film; it’s @juniorbachchan’s portrayal of Capt. Vikram Batra that tops any other attempt made at the same. Mean no offence to Shershaah (2021), but it is what it is. pic.twitter.com/89Io5zlWSL
