Another statement regarding Rishabh Pant, who is being scheduled to fly to Mumbai for surgery and additional medical care for his injuries, was made by BCCI
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has made all necessary arrangements to relocate India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant to Mumbai.
Rishabh, who is being treated for his injuries at Max Hospital in Dehradun following a car accident on December 30th, will be expected to fly to Mumbai in an air ambulance. He will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute and will be under the direct supervision of Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head of the Centre for Sports Medicine and Director of Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at the hospital.
The wicketkeeper-batsman will have surgery and follow-up procedures for ligament tears and will be closely monitored by the BCCI Medical Team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation.
The Board will do everything possible to hasten Rishabh's recovery process and will give him all the support he requires during this time.
Pant was driving alone and reportedly fell asleep at the wheel when the accident occurred. The cricketer escaped the near-fatal accident on December 30, with burns and other injuries that will necessitate plastic surgery, and he could be airlifted to Delhi if necessary. He was returning from Delhi to Roorkee when his car collided with the divider near Hammadpur Jhal on the Narsan border of Roorkee.
The cricketer suffered two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, ankle, toe, and back, according to a statement issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in coordination with the Max Hospital Dehradun where he was admitted.
