Finally, three Brampton men have been arrested in the much widespread parking lot brawl between two groups of men last Sunday (Dec. 10).

Police charged three men on Friday  after an investigation into the brawl involved as many as 25 men, many of whom were armed with large pieces of lumber.Gurpreet Singh, 20, Karanbir Singh, 22, and Harbir Singh, 22, all from Brampton, are charged with assault causing bodily harm. All three will have their first court appearances Jan. 17.

Peel Regional Police want to ensure the public that these types of incidents will be investigated thoroughly as public safety is our top priority”.

They were captured on videotape clubbing one another with the sticks in the plaza parking lot at the corner of McLaughlin Road and Steeles Avenue West around 10:30 p.m.

The video was shared and viewed by thousands on social media. Police have said the community response to the video helped investigators identify suspects.

Police responded to the parking lot on a report of a large-scale brawl, but found only one victim – a 19-year-old Brampton man who was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
