Bakersfield Police Request Community Assistance In Locating Fugitive

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating Bakhshinderpal Singh Mann (age 23), who is wanted for his involvement in the murder
of an infant.

Mann has an outstanding arrest warrant for conspiracy and acting as an accessory to a felony after the fact.

Anyone with information regarding Mann’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department.

On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, Bakersfield Police Department officers responded to a call from a residence in the 5200 block of Shining Crag Avenue to investigate a possible homicide.

The investigation revealed that a juvenile gave birth to a live child at the residence in November of 2018.

Within hours of birth, the child was taken from the mother by Beant Kaur Dhillon (age 43) and murdered at the residence.

Investigators recovered the infant’s body in the backyard of the residence, where it had been concealed.

Beant Kaur Dhillon was arrested for murder and felony child abuse.

Jagsir Singh (age 47) was also arrested in connection with the investigation for aiding a felon, felony child abuse and conspiracy.

Two children were taken into protective custody from the residence.

The investigation is ongoing.

The cause of death of the infant will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
