Barack Obama Just Endorsed Justin Trudeau
Former president of United States Barack Obama has tweeted an endorsement of Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on Wednesday.
“I was proud to work with Justin Trudeau as President. He’s a hard-working, effective leader who takes on big issues like climate change,” Obama wrote in a tweet. “The world needs his progressive leadership now, and I hope our neighbors to the north support him for another term.”
The tweet went viral within seconds on social media. Barack Obama labelled Trudeau as a “progressive” leader who deserves a second shot.
In a reply, Federal Liberal leader tweeted and said,” Thanks my friend, we’re working hard to keep our progress going.”

Not everyone was happy with this tweet though!
“Canadians were worried about Russian interference, maybe Chinese interference. Looks like the foreign interference in our election was to be American!” tweeted pundit Stephen Taylor.
It is to be noted here that only 5 days left until the October 21 vote, and with some 5 million Canadians already voted during advance polling, there’s no clear prediction of who’s going to form a majority government this time.
