Richard Knill, 53, a Brampton high school teacher who was arrested earlier this month for an alleged relationship with a student is now facing new allegations for an incident that reportedly took place two decades ago.

Police said today in a news release that investigators were contacted on June 22 by a former student of Bramalea Secondary School in connection with a historic sexual assault dating to 1997.

The first sexual exploitation charge against the teacher came to light on June 16 when Peel police announced that he had been arrested for allegedly having a relationship with a 17-year-old student at Turner Fenton Secondary School.
