A Brampton resident has been charged as part of an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies called Project Hope that resulted in the largest single drug seizure of about $250 million in OPP history.
OPP officials say the investigation resulted in the confiscation and seizure of 1,062 kilograms of cocaine they allege was being imported from Argentina by three people.
OPP added that the drugs were being brought into the country hidden in stone inside shipping containers that were sent to the Port of Montreal and that the drugs were going to be distributed in Ontario and across the country.
