Brampton organises free bus tour for newcomers.

The city of Brampton invites new residents to participate in the award-winning Newcomer Bus Tour community program this December. These family-friendly tours introduce new residents to City facilities and places of interest, including heritage areas, parks, libraries, community centres, and public transit services.

Tours will take place on December 5 and 7, departing at 6 pm, starting from and returning to the Brampton Library’s Chinguacousy Branch at 150 Central Peel Drive. The tour takes participants on a 3-hour trip around Brampton that showcases the City’s facilities, services, and history, as well as the festive holiday lights.

Registration is now open and is offered to those residents who have moved to Brampton after January 1, 2014.

Space is limited, so please contact the Brampton Library at 905.793.4636, or visit any Brampton Library branch. More information is available at www.brampton.ca/recreation.

• Board a Brampton Transit bus to receive a hands-on workshop about using transit map, learning about Brampton Transit’s Rider Guide map, the advantages of PRESTO fare cards and how riders can transfer.
