Break and Enter : Peel Police identify 8 males regarding fifty-three criminal charges

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Break and Enter Unit have identified 8 males regarding fifty-three criminal charges and are before the court.

Between December 2019, and March 2020, the Break and Enter Unit conducted a project targeting a group of males who were committing a series of car thefts and break and enters in the north east section of Brampton. The investigation was named Project Skylar. Search warrants were executed concluding the project with the following males being arrested and charged:

Amandeep Pooni 18-year-old man from Caledon was charged with the following 8 counts, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Breach of Recognizance x2, Theft Under $5000, Theft of Motor Vehicle x2, Fail to Remain, and Obstruct Police. He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on February 28, 2020.

Lukasz Bzdzikot a 30- year-old of no fixed address was charged with the following 4 counts, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2, Breach of Probation order and Possession of CDSA (Meth). He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on February 28, 2020.

A 21-year-old from Brampton, information sworn to March 20, 2020, for the following 6 counts, Break and Enter x4, Attempt Break and Enter, and Breach of Undertaking.

A 24-year-old from Brampton, information sworn to March 20, 2020, for the following 6 counts, Break and Enter x4, Attempt Break and Enter, and Breach of Undertaking.

A 17-year-old from Caledon was charged with the following 14 counts, Break and Enter x3, Attempt Break and Enter, Possession of property obtained by crime x 3, Theft of motor vehicle x 3, Dangerous operation of motor vehicle x2, and Fail to remain x2. He was brought before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 4, 2020.

A 17-year-old male from Mississauga was charged with the following 2 counts, Break and Enter and Fraud Under $5000. He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 2, 2020.

A 16-year-old from Brampton was charged with the following 10 counts, Attempt Break and Enter, Possession of property Obtained by Crime x2, Theft of motor vehicle x 5, and Breach of Probation x2. He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 5, 2020.

A 17-year-old male from Brampton was charged with the following 3 counts, Theft of Motor Vehicle X2 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was released on an Undertaking and will have his first court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton in April 2020.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.
