Canada Day 2020 in Brampton during the COVID-19 pandemic

​BRAMPTON, ON (June 25, 2020) – This year, Canada Day takes place on Wednesday, July 1.

With guidance from Peel Public Health and for the safety of our residents and employees, City Hall and all other City of Brampton facilities, including Recreation and Community Centres and Brampton Library branches, remain closed until further notice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

All critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations, and Security Services will continue to operate as usual to support our community.

We are available 24/7 for any City of Brampton or Region of Peel matters, including queries related to COVID-19 such as parks safety measures, physical distancing and facilities closures. To help Bramptonians celebrate Canada Day from their homes, the City is taking the celebration online at From noon to 10 PM on July 1, residents can enjoy family-friendly activities, virtual fireworks, performances from local artists and JUNO award-winning headliner Walk Off The Earth, and more.
