Canada purchases a $400 million air defence system for Ukraine that the Canadian Army has been waiting for since 2012

Even though the Canadian Forces have been operating without air defence systems for more than ten years, the Liberal government is spending more than $400 million to purchase them for Ukraine.

Since 2012, the Canadian Army has struggled to persuade governments to invest in air defence systems, despite repeated requests.
