
Chandigarh: Taking a serious view of screening of liquor advertisement on the LEDs installed at heritage street on the way to Sri Darbar Sahib at Amritsar, the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder today ordered an enquiry to probe into this unfortunate and derogatory incident which has hurt the religious sentiments of devotees.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the Deputy Commissioner Amritsar has marked the enquiry to Additional Deputy Commissioner, who has been asked the submit the report within a week.
Captain Amarinder categorically said that none would be allowed to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state and would be dealt severely as per the law of land, if found guilty. He abode to maintain the sanctity of holy places at all cost.
