Charges Laid After Firearm Discharged




Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division, Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a man after a firearm was discharged in Brampton.

On Sunday, January 7, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the suspect attended a residence in the area of Goreway Drive and Castlemore Road in the City of Brampton and allegedly discharged a firearm, which resulted in a home being struck by gunfire. Fortunately, there were no physical injuries.

After a lengthy investigation and with the assistance of the Toronto Police Service, investigators identified the suspect. On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, Deandre Cadougan, a 19-year-old man from Toronto, was charged with Discharge a Firearm.

In answer to the charges, he appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on November 2, 2021.
