British Columbia’s minority Christy Clark Liberal government has lost a non-confidence vote in the Provincial Assembly. The Liberals lost the vote 44-42 as the presiding officer in the legislature, the Speaker did not vote.
Now, Lt.-Governor Ms.Judith Guichon has to take a call on whether to invite NDP Leader John Horgan to form government or dissolve the legislature, resulting an election.
Liberal could not break any members of the NDP or Greens ranks as the Greens backed the NDP’s non-confidence motion to defeat Premier Christy Clark’s government.
