CIBC Run for the Cure raised about $190,800 today in Brampton.

Close to 1,000 participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure at the Powerade Centre in Brampton on Sunday.

According to volunteer run director Kelly McNamara, participants ran a 5 kilometre course or walked a 1 kilometre course. They raised approximately $190,800.

The event raised money and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society and celebrated survivors.
