The City of Brampton is asking its residents for their opinion on whether or not cannabis retail stores should be allowed to operate in Brampton.

A telephone survey and an online public poll about cannabis retail stores will seek input from the public to help inform the new City Council.

The City has engaged a third-party firm, Environics, to conduct a telephone survey among a total sample size of 800 Brampton residents representing different demographics.

The telephone survey will begin later this week. To complement the telephone survey, an online poll is now available on the City’s website.

The poll closes at 11:59 pm on November 9, 2018.

Results of both the telephone survey and online poll will form one of many components of a staff report, to be presented to City Council on December 5, 2018, to help Council make an informed decision.
