Delay in Parking Penalties in Brampton will cost more.

In a media release, the city of Brampton has issued a statement saying, “When it comes to parking tickets, the “I’ll deal with it later” approach will cost you more than you imagined.”
The media release states that a basic $35 parking fine can increase up to $180 if delayed, ignored or for being absent at review meetings, and could impact renewal of vehicle registration.
The Key highlights stated in the Media Release are:
• When you get a parking penalty, pay within 15 days to avoid a late payment fee
• To dispute the penalty, schedule a Screening Review by calling 311 or 905.874.2404 (from outside Brampton)
• If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the Screening Review, you have one more chance to appeal at a Hearing Review meeting
• Avoid making the most common parking mistakes – parking between 2 – 6 am, parking on private property and parking in fire routes
• If your overnight guests require street parking, apply for a free parking consideration by calling 311 or using Pingstreet app
