Dr. Harpreet S. Kochhar becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Health

The Prime Minister announces a change in the senior ranks of the Public Service

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the following change in the senior ranks of the Public Service:

Dr. Harpreet S. Kochhar, currently Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations Sector, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Health, effective immediately.

In this role, Dr. Kochhar will support the Government of Canada’s ongoing efforts to fight COVID-19 through a whole-of-government, comprehensive, and coordinated approach.
