Region of Peel– Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Specialized Enforcement Bureau laid firearm and drug trafficking charges in relation to an investigation in the City of Brampton.
Over the past month, an investigation commenced in relation to drug trafficking activity in the area of Dixie Road and Templehill Road in the City of Brampton. On Thursday, October 15, 2020, As a result of information collected during the investigation, a man was arrested in the area and a warrant was obtained to search his residence.
On Thursday, October 15, 2020, officers executed search warrants at the residence which resulted in the recovery of a Norinco 12-gauge shotgun, a loaded shotgun magazine, over $10,000 in counterfeit currency and a substance believed to be cocaine.
Yousif Fargo, a 24-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with numerous offences including:
1) Possession of a Firearm without being the holder of a licence
2) Unsafe storage of a firearm
3) 2 counts of Possession of Counterfeit Currency
4) Breach of Recognizance
5) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Yousif Fargo is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Friday, October 16, 2020 for a bail hearing.
