Edmonton parents charged after boy found all alone.

Police were called by a citizen who found  a 4-year-old child walking alone in the area of Knottwood Road East and 13 Avenue between 3 and 4 p.m. on Thursday. Police went public with a picture of the child in an effort to identify him, his parents or caregivers.

A family member and a friend called police Friday morning, and officers went to the child’s home in southeast Edmonton.Police found his parents, and other children, aged 11-months-old, 7-years-old, 12-years-old and 15-years-old in the home.

Police arrested the parents, a 43-year-old father and 33-year-old mother and have  charged them with five counts each of causing a child to be in need of intervention and causing a child to be drug endangered.
