At around 5:15 a.m. today a truck carrying paint products was emergency parked on the highway when a tractor-trailor carrying skids of chalk drifted onto the shoulder and slanmed into the rear of the parked truck.
The drums of paint and chalk was spilled on the road.
The truck was subsequently burst into flames and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
All eastbound express lanes are closed at Allen Road and the westbound express lanes have been shut down near Younge Street.
