Peel Public Health is offering free flu shots to anyone six months old or older. A clinic is scheduled in October in Brampton and Mississauga in November.
The Brampton clinic is Sunday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bramalea City Centre (main entrance by Pickle Barrel), 25 Peel Centre Dr.
The Mississauga clinic is Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 3-8 p.m. at Square One Older Adult Centre, 100 City Centre Dr.
An Ontario Health Card is not required.
The flu shot is also available for free at doctors’ offices, nurse practitioners, selected pharmacies and local clinics.
Because the influenza virus changes frequently, the vaccine changes and is offered each fall putting babies, children, older adults and people with certain health conditions are at a higher risk of serious flu complications.
