Canadians, tourists and businesses benefit from safe and well-maintained airports. From visiting friends and family, to travelling to medical appointments, or getting goods to market, we rely on our local airports to support and sustain vibrant communities. These airports also provide essential air services including community resupply, air ambulance, search and rescue and forest fire response.

Following is the list of Airports where improvements will take place:

  1. High Level Airport - $5,714,821 for the rehabilitation of Runway 13-31 and Taxiways A and B.

2.  Lethbridge Airport - $98,000 to purchase a de-icer which is used in combination with other snow removal equipment to apply sand to runways, taxiways and aprons to clear snow, and melt ice.

3. Red Deer Airport - $271,450 to replace a wheeled loader which is used for pulling snow removal or de-icing equipment.

Funding comes from Transport Canada's Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).

Minsiter Sohi said, "The High Level, Lethbridge and Red Deer Airports are important hubs for residents and businesses in this region.
