Health Canada warns against use of PureCare skin care Children cream.
Health Canada said in a safety alert that the ingredients in the cream promoted as a natural treatment for children and babies may cause health effects ranging from skin irritation and dehydration to increased blood pressure.
PureCare Herbal Cream contains a prescription steroid (clobetasol propionate) and another ingredient (phenoxylethanol) that are not declared on the label.
The regulator said people should stop using the product and consult a doctor if they have used it and have health concerns.
