Healthcare leaders want drug company payments to doctors made public.

Canadian healthcare leaders want the federal government to make it mandatory for pharmaceutical companies to share how much and why they're paying people who prescribe their drugs.

17 people signed an open letter sent to Health Minister Jane Philpott this week, stating Canada should follow the lead of countries such as France, Denmark and the United States, which require pharmaceutical companies tell the government about payments to prescribers as small as $10 US.
