Hundreds of students in Sooke waiting for spot in school bus.

Around 300 students heading off to school next week in the B.C.'s fastest growing Sooke School District might not have a spot on the school bus to get to class.

District superintendent Jim Cambridge said that the district was expecting 3,200 school children to need rides. Instead, more than 3,500 signed up and the extra few hundred students are now on a wait list.

The Sooke School District is currently the only one in the Capital Region with a wait list for school buses.
