The Sikh nation conducts blood donation campaigns in various cities of Canada which has helped save more than 150,000 lives to date through its annual donations and support.

The Sikhs began the Blood Donation Campaign in 1999 as a memorial to the events of 1984 and with the intention of uniting people. In 1984, Sikhs in India were the focus of unprecedented attacks on defenseless individuals and the victims of hostility.

The Sikh Blood Donation Campaign expresses peace and invites people around the world to participate in this humanitarian campaign which is organized every year in November
