Region of Peel – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have laid charges against an 18-year-old man from Brampton with numerous firearm-related offences.
On Sunday, February 14, 2021, at 2:15 a.m., the victim, a 19-year-old man from Mississauga, attended the area of Ray Lawson Boulevard and Mclaughlin Road in Brampton to conduct a sale of property. The accused brandished a black handgun, robbed the victim of his property and a quantity of Canadian money, assaulted him, and fled.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries as a result of this incident.
On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau, with the Tactical Unit's assistance, executed a criminal code search warrant at a residence in the area of Kingknoll Drive and Mclaughlin Road in Brampton.
As a result of the search warrant, the accused was located inside the residence and a loaded firearm. Investigators also recovered the victims' stolen property.
Jessiah Farrell, an 18-year-old man from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
Robbery with Firearm
Point Firearm
Fail to Comply with Release Order
Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
Possession of Firearm Knowingly not the holder of a license
Possession of a Loaded Firearm
Possession of a Firearm Knowing the Serial Number was Removed or Altered
Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order (X2)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
He attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, to answer to the charges.
