Malala Yousafzai receives honorary Canadian citizenship.

The Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has presented Malala Yousafzai with a framed certificate of citizenship, making her only the sixth person to receive the honour and the youngest ever. He also presented her with the flag from atop the tower.
Yousafzai has made history as the youngest person to address Parliament.

19 year old Malala is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appointed Malala Yousafzai as a UN Messenger of Peace to promote girls education, more than four years after a Taliban gunman shot her in the head on her school bus in 2012.
