Mass Shooting on Las Vegas Strip kills at least 50, wounds hundreds

A gunman identified as 64 year old Stephen Paddock fired on a crowd of concertgoers from a highrise hotel on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday night, killing many. Police say the suspect died after SWAT teams descended on the hotel. A motive is not yet known.

The suspect fired from the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas Strip casino down on an outdoor country music festival below, killing at least 50 people and wounding more than 200 as tens of thousands of frantic concertgoers screamed and ran for their lives.

Country music star Jason Aldean was performing Sunday night when the incident took place.

It was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
