In 600 words sent to Ontario Kathleen Wynne, Mayor Linda Jeffrey restates the city’s position on increasing the number of seats Brampton holds at Peel Region council from seven to 11 members for the start of the next council term in 2018.
In her letter to the premier, Jeffrey, on behalf of council, requests for an urgent meeting with Wynne to discuss the potential legislative changes required to ensure our City is fairly represented at the Region of Peel and that these changes are made before the legislature rises in December.
