Mississauga Arrest in Stolen Vehicle (Warm-Up Style Theft)

Region of Peel - Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have commenced an investigation into a series of warm-up-style vehicle thefts in Mississauga.

In the early morning hours of February 17, 2021, members of the Auto Theft Unit were conducting mobile patrol, targeting "warm-up" style thefts in the area of Goreway Drive and Morning Star Drive, Mississauga. At approximately 7:00 a.m., police received a call for theft of a vehicle from a residence in this area.

The mobile patrol officers immediately attended the area and successfully located the stolen vehicle. The driver was arrested without incident. The keys and vehicle were recovered undamaged.

The 26-year-old woman from Mississauga was charged with Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime. She will attend the Ontario Court of Justice on April 27, 2021, in Brampton.
