Multiple-vehicle Brampton crash leaves one woman dead and another critically hurt

Attempting to assist the first casualty, a second woman was allegedly struck by a separate vehicle

According to Peel police, a multi-vehicle collision in Brampton early on Friday morning resulted in the death of one woman and serious injuries to another who attempted to save her.

In the vicinity of Heritage Road and Steeles Avenue, complaints of pedestrian strikes prompted police to arrive at the scene at around 5:46 in the morning. When they arrived, the 41-year-old lady had no vital signs, according to investigators, and the 30-year-old had been brought to the hospital. Police were unable to ascertain whether the deceased’s next of kin had been notified.

Police reported that a woman was struck by a car as she crossed the street southbound on the east side of the crossroads. Police said that because of the hard impact, the woman ended up on the west side of the traffic lanes where she was hit by another car.

Attempting to assist the first casualty, a second woman was allegedly struck by a separate vehicle. The second car is assumed to be a grey, mid-sized SUV.

Police report that three automobiles were involved in the collision. There were still two people on the scene, but the driver of the second car—a mid-sized SUV—is still at large.
