Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Navdeep Bains expressed his gratitude for the Salvation Army on Sunday.
“Special thought to all those who give back at a particularly thankful time of the year, including the good folks at Salvation Army who help feed the nearly one million Canadians across the country who need the help of a food bank to feed their families,” he said.
The Salvation Army is there to help with emergency food assistance.
Every month, the Army see over 1,000 households accessing their Food Bank.
The Community and Family Services Food Bank is a choice model, meaning customers can shop for the food items that best fit their needs and the needs of their family.
