One person dead, several others hurt in Mississauga shooting

Police in Peel Region are investigating a deadly Saturday evening shooting in Mississauga. One person is is dead several others hurt in this shooting incident.

Just before 6:30 p.m., Police were called Goreway and Morning Star Drive for reports of shots fired. There were multiple victims located at the scene with gunshot wounds. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Peel Police’s Homicide Bureau has been notified.

UPDATE : 5 people with serious injuries transported to local hospitals. Police are unable to confirm age and genders of victims at this time.

Residents should avoid the area until further notice.
