All of the front-line and investigative personnel of Peel Regional Police will now receive highly specialized antihuman trafficking training.

Over 2,200 officers from Peel Police will benefit from specialized training that is the first of its kind in Canada by developing their knowledge and abilities to recognize and spot indications of human trafficking.

In the Region of Peel, officers will be better prepared to assist victims of human trafficking by providing them with accessible and pertinent materials during service requests, community engagement projects, and ongoing investigations.
