Peel Police Release Photo and Sketch of Robbery Suspect

Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation of an attempted robbery.

On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 6:05 p.m. the suspect met the female victim in the area of Ambler Drive and Kamato Road in the City of Mississauga. The suspect was armed with a handgun and attempted to rob the victim. A struggle ensued between the suspect and the victim causing a single bullet to be discharged which became lodged in a door.

The suspect fled the area by unknown means and police were called.

The suspect is described as:

Male, dark brown, Guyanese or maybe mixed race, 24-30 years old, 5’10” tall, medium build, 160-170lbs, black wavy hair, which was messy, dark eyes, no facial hair, and no piercings.

The suspect was wearing very dark pants, a black zip up hoody or jacket, a hunting vest camouflage coloured (brown, green, beige) , and tan coloured boots.

The suspect may use the name “Frank Whyte”, and also may frequent the Trethewey Drive area in the City of Toronto.

The victim did not suffer any injuries.

Working with the victim, a composite sketch of the suspect was created by a police artist.
