
In yet another twist in UK ratings on Saturday, PTC Punjabi moved up to No.2 beating ZEE TV, Colors and Sony Entertainment Television, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
PTC is a popular Punjabi television network from India and is owned by PTC Network. It features general interest programming including news, dramas, comedies, music and talk shows. PTC Punjabi commenced operations on 6 August 2008 and in a year, had become the most popular television network in Punjab, India.
The channel registered a share of 0.05%, with its primetime (19:00 – 23:00) attracting an average 8,400 viewers.
Star Plus remained No.1 with a share of 0.11%. Its top show was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 94,700 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 94,700 viewers and ‘Dance Champions’ at 20:00 with 33,900 viewers.
Colors was in third place with a share of 0.04%. Its top rated show remained ‘Bigg Boss 11’ at 21:00 attracting 50,300 viewers.
Hum TV and Hum Masala delivered a share of 0.03%. Hum TV’s top shows were ‘Khamoshi – The Musical’ at 20:00 with 19,200 viewers and ‘La Hasil’ at 21:00 with 14,300 viewers.
Sony Entertainment Television recorded a share of 0.01% with ‘The Drama Company’ at 21:00 pulling in 10,000 viewers.
ZEE TV also registered a share of 0.01% with ‘Dance India Dance’ at 20:30 pulling in 4,000 viewers.
&TV also scored a share of 0.01% with ‘The Voice India – Kids’ at 23:30 with 4,100 viewers.
