Captain Rohit Sharma has now become the batsman with the most sixes in the history of T20I cricket. The attacking batsman accomplished this achievement on Friday in Nagpur during the second T20I match against Australia.

Rohit Sharma hit the score of unbeaten 46 on just 20 balls, helping team India to reach the target of 91 runs in the match which was reduced to eight overs per side due to rain. Four doubles and four sixes were part of his impressive inning.

Rohit Sharma now has a total of 176 sixes in T20I cricket. After him is the New Zealand opener Martin Guptill in second place with 172 sixes. They are followed by West Indies legend Chris Gayle (124), former England captain Eoin Morgan (120) and Australian veteran Aaron Finch (119).

In 138 games and 130 innings in T20I cricket, Rohit has amassed 3,677 runs at an average of 32.53, including four centuries and 28 half-centuries. 1,056 of the 3,677 runs have been sixes, or a total of 3,677 runs. This indicates that 28.71% of Rohit's runs have been scored by lofting the ball into the air.
