Indian Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri joined the Sangat in paying obeisance at Gurudwara Sahib in Greater Montreal.

He tweeted some pictures of his visit and said,” The sizeable & vibrant Sikh Sangat in Montreal is an example of how Sikhs contribute to the growth & development of their adopted lands while still maintainIng their culture & way of life.

It is to mentioned here that Hardeep Puri on wednesday announced the start of much awaited Amritsar-Delhi-Toronto flight, which was launched today. . He said,” I am happy to announce that the decisions taken in this meeting on 22 Nov 2018 are being implemented in letter & spirit. We are also taking decisions to create world class air connectivity.”

“As a mark of respect to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj & the dignity of the momentous occasion, the Union Cabinet led by PM Shri @narendramodi ji took key decisions to celebrate 550th Prakash Parv of the founder of the Sikh faith.”

The 14-hour flight arrived Friday morning at Toronto Pearson International Airport and was greeted by a water cannon salute from Toronto Pearson Fire as they approached their gate.

The inaugural flight was operated with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
