Thousands have turned out to pay final farewell to First deputy Sikh Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, who was gunned down during a traffic stop.
Dhaliwal, 40 was described as trailblazer, for the first Sikh deputy in his agency.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Dhaliwal was a man of faith, dedication and compassion. He was known as humble and fearless person.
I’m sad to share with you that we’ve lost one of our own. Our @HCSOTexas was unable to recover from his injuries. There are no words to convey our sadness. Please keep his family and our agency in your prayers. #HouNews
