Three Punjabi males have been arrested in Canada on suspicion of sex trafficking
Three Punjabi men from Brampton, Ontario, Canada, have been arrested for sex trading with an underage girl. Amritpal Singh, 23, Harkuwar Singh, 22, and Sukhmanpreet Singh, 23, have all been arrested, while a fourth suspect is still being sought.
On August 21, police received a call claiming a woman under the age of 18 was being detained against her will, assaulted, and being trafficked in the sex trade. With significant injuries, the person was rescued and sent to the hospital. The three males were arrested after police stormed a residence in Brampton.
Sukhmanpreet has been charged with forceful imprisonment and aggravated assault, while Amritpal and Harkuwar have been charged with sex trafficking, promoting sexual services, and benefitting from sexual services. The fourth suspect, who is also a South Asian, is being sought by police.
Cops believe there may be additional victims of the accused men's sex trafficking.
