WANTED:Brampton father accused of killing his young daughter has disappeared.

A Brampton man Frank O’Dea, 45,accused of manslaughter  in the death of his 21-month-old daughter has disappeared.He was last seen on Monday, Dec. 4 and was later reported missing to Peel Regional Police.

In addition to this being a missing persons investigation, there is also a warrant out for O’Dea’s arrest as his criminal case remains before the courts.He was charged in April, 2015, with criminal negligence in the death of 21-month-old Victoria O’Dea. He was accused of not providing proper medical care for the little girl.

But 8 months later, in December 2015, that charge was upgraded to manslaughter and failing to provide the necessities of life following a review of a forensic reports by Peel police and the Crown Attorney’s office.

Court records show O'Dea, who was released on bail shortly after his arrest, is scheduled to appear in Brampton Superior Court on Aug. 31, 2018, with the trial tentatively scheduled to start on Sept. 17.

publive-imagePolice have said O’Dea called 911 from his Pappain Crescent basement apartment around 11:25 p.m. on April 20, 2015, to report the little girl was not responding.She was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later. Victoria O’Dea, was taken to a local hospital, and despite attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead a short time later.

A forensic report concluded O’Dea died of malnutrition and dehydration.

According to a Peel police news release, “Police and his family are concerned for Frank O’Dea’s well-being due to the length of time since he last spoke to friends or family members,”
